Recent Work
Veradigm is a healthcare technology company. As a UI Software Engineer, I work on Practice Fusion, a cloud-based EHR (electronic health record) platform used by independent medical practices to manage charting, scheduling, and patient care. Technologies: Ember.js, TypeScript
Lygos is a pioneering sustainable specialty chemicals company. I helped build many of the components for their company site. This project utilizes Builder.io, a headless CMS that allows editors to drag/drop content on the site without having to touch the codebase. Technologies: Next.js, TypeScript, Builder.io, Styled Components
Rev provides closed captioning, subtitles, and transcription services. I helped build the UI library with over 40+ reusable React components for Rev.com. The site uses the CMS Contentful to allow editors to update content within minutes. Technologies: Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Contentful, ThemeUI
Roivant builds subsidiary biotech and healthcare technology companies. This site was designed with Figma and built using Astro components with jQuery to handle interactivity and animations. Technologies: Astro, TypeScript, Tailwind, jQuery
Personal Projects
A beautiful, mobile-responsive pregnancy guide website that provides month-by-month information for expecting parents. This site features detailed information about baby's development, body changes, care & wellness tips, medical checkups, things to avoid, and partner support throughout all 9 months of pregnancy. This project was built using Astro 5 with View Transitions for smooth navigation, and features a mobile-first design with a slide-out navigation menu. The site uses smart prefetching for instant page loads. Technologies: Astro 5, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
This is a 2023 project that I've started work on. I wanted to take some technologies I've learned in the past few years and build on them while learning some new tools I haven't used before. This app is geared towards movie buffs that want to see the latest news out of Hollywood, what movies are currently popular, what's coming out soon, as well as keep track of their watchlist. It's currently a WIP that's set aside due to work and having a baby! Technologies: Next.js, JavaScript, Tailwind, Prisma, tRPC and the external Flixster API.
As we increasingly get our news from digital media sources, it is important to be aware of the role that bias plays in what we're reading. I know for myself and many others, we tend to only read news from sources that align with where we are on the political spectrum. I created this app that shows you how stories are reported on across conservative, liberal, and neutral news outlets. This will show how stories are reported on from different viewpoints. Technologies: React, JavaScript, Node.js, Express and the external Currents API.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, I was having virtual movie night parties with friends. One problem we kept having was trying to decide what to watch amongst the group. I decided to create this app that will allow everyone in the group to vote for their choice. The app will show you which movie got the most votes. You can also create lists for different nights/groups of friends. (This app has been sunsetted due to Heroku removing their free tier. You can still view the code on Github.) Technologies: React, JavaScript, Node.js, Express and the external The Movie Database API.
